How Credits and Billing Work
Credit packs vs monthly subscriptions, the two credit buckets, fees, invoices, and exactly when credits are refunded.
Everything on Acquired Data is paid for with credits — one currency across bulk skip tracing, single traces, property data pulls, and buyer search. You buy credits once (or on a monthly plan), then every operation deducts from your balance at a fixed per-row or per-record rate. This guide covers what things cost, how the two credit buckets work, and exactly when credits come back to you.
What operations cost
These are the standard rates. Your account may have custom pricing — the purchase sheet and each tool always show the rates that actually apply to you before you confirm anything.
| Operation | Credits |
|---|---|
| Bulk skip trace (per row) | 1 |
| Single skip trace (per lookup) | 2 |
| LLC / Trust trace (per row, total — not additive) | 6 |
| Property data pull (per record, base) | 11 |
| Property valuation add-on (per record) | +17 |
| Mortgage & liens add-on (per record) | +14 |
| Buyer profile — served from the platform database | 10 |
| Buyer profile — live search | 70 |
Skip-trace add-ons like DNC flagging, phone verification, and tested emails carry small per-row charges of their own — see the add-ons guide for the full list.
One-time credit packs
Packs are a single purchase with volume pricing — the bigger the pack, the lower the per-credit rate. Purchased credits never expire.
| Pack | Rate | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 10,000 credits | $0.019 / credit | $190 |
| 50,000 credits | $0.015 / credit | $750 |
| 75,000 credits | $0.013 / credit | $975 |
| 100,000+ credits | $0.010 / credit | $1,000 |
Monthly subscriptions
If you trace consistent volume, a monthly plan gets you a lower effective rate than buying once. Your credit allotment refreshes automatically each billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not stack — each cycle resets the allotment rather than adding to it.
| Plan | Credits / cycle | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 30,000 | $360 |
| Pro | 60,000 | $600 |
| Scale | 100,000 | $900 |
| Enterprise | 200,000 | $1,600 |
The two credit buckets
Your balance is really two buckets: monthly credits from an active subscription, and purchased credits from one-time packs. When you run a job, monthly credits are spent first; only when they run out does the platform dip into your purchased credits. That way subscription credits — which reset every cycle — are always used before the credits that never expire. You can hold both at once, and topping up with a pack mid-cycle is a common way to cover a spike without changing plans.
Checkout, fees, and invoices
All payments run through Stripe. A 3% card processing fee is added to every transaction — the purchase sheet shows the subtotal, fee, and total before you pay. Every purchase, charge, and refund appears in your invoice history on the Billing page of the dashboard.
Canceling and reactivating a plan
- Go to Dashboard → Billing and click Cancel Plan.
- Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period — you keep using your monthly credits until then, and you are not charged again.
- Any remaining credit balance stays on your account after the plan ends, until you use it.
- Changed your mind before the period ends? Click Reactivate Plan and billing continues as before.
When credits are refunded
Refunds are automatic and precise, so it is worth knowing the exact rules:
- Failed jobs are refunded in full. If a job errors out or stalls without producing results, the credits charged for it are returned to your balance automatically.
- Result shortfalls are refunded. If an operation returns fewer records than you were charged for — for example a property pull that comes back with fewer records than estimated — the difference is credited back.
- Unmatched single-address enrichment via the API is refunded. If a single-record enrichment call finds no match, you are not charged for it.
- Unmatched rows in bulk trace jobs are not refunded. Bulk pricing is per row processed, not per match — a 9,500-row job costs 9,500 base credits even if some rows return no contact data.
- Credit purchases themselves are non-refundable, per the Terms of Service.
